polaroid
The strongest technical aspect of my work is having the three layer background with different opacity levels and different blending modes. Having Gillette Stadium saturated matches well with Rob Gronkowski; it does not take away from the main focus. Also, having his name vertically and at a lower opacity really brings out the colors in the background. The technical aspect that could be improved on possibly playing around with the background a little more to see if something where to work better.
The easy part of the activity was picking out which picture to use. I knew that I wanted a picture of a Patriots player in action during a game. When I saw this picture of Rob Gronkowski, I knew it would be a god picture for the polaroid project. The difficult part about this art activity was placing the polaroids in just the right spot. I knew that I wanted both of his arms popping out of the polaroid, but it took me more time to figure out where to put the other nine polaroids.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by making Rob Gronkowski's extended arm come out of the polaroid and by having his arm/hand hold the football come out of the polaroid as well. Also, I had three different backgrounds; the first one is a picture of Gillette Stadium, where Rob Gronkowski plays football, the second one is a black background that has his name vertically on the right side (I used a lower opacity on the black background so you can see the other backgrounds), and the third is the color red that is from his helmet (I used a different blending mode, which made the colors really pop and stand out more). If I could do this art activity again, I might choose a different background or pick a different picture of a different Patriots player to mess around with.

freckle face
![]() |
The first picture is the 'after' picture and the second picture is the 'before' picture.
The strongest technical aspect of my work was changing her eye colors. I think having the blue eyes stand out more and are more prettier than green eyes. The technical aspect that can be improved on is getting rid of the freckles. I could have blended the skin colors better and made the skin look smoother.
The easiest part about this activity was picking out a picture to retouch. It was also easy to figure out what I wanted to retouch. When I saw this picture, it just stood out to me, which made me want to pick it. The most difficult part about this activity was getting rid of the freckles. It was hard to find a skin tone that was just one color.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by getting rid of most of her freckles, changing her eye color from green to blue, and I got rid of some of her stray hair strands on her face. If I could do this art activity again, I would take more time on making her skin smooth and clear and make sure that her skin tone is even over her face.

strawberry
The strongest technical aspect of my work is the color red. The color red can symbolizes boldness. The color stands out and catches people's attention. It also shows that the strawberry has a juicy taste. The technical aspect of my work that could be improved on is getting the edges of the leaf exact (like not having any red showing from the other strawberries).
It was easy for me to pick the picture of the strawberry. I was looking for a picture of something small and everything else around it to be blurry. So I decided to find a picture of something I love, strawberries (plus, I think I was hungry and hadn't had lunch yet). Nothing was really difficult about this art activity once I knew what steps to take to use the history brush.
I demonstrated the objective in this art activity by making the background black and white with the desaturated filter and then by using the history brush to make the strawberry it's normal color. If I could do this art activity again, I could try to make all the strawberries in the picture their normal color again and leave everything in the black and white color.
